When do I need to file a lawsuit for my construction accident?

Video Description

If you've been in a construction accident, you generally have three years to file a lawsuit against anyone that may have been responsible for your accident. The one caveat is that if you were involved in a construction accident while you were doing work for the City, the port authority, MTA, someplace like that, the time is going to be cut even in half really. It's going to be a year and 90 days and there's going to be an additional requirement that you provide those entities with the notice of claim.

That's why it's really important for you to see an attorney early on. Don't wait the entire time. Don't wait the whole three years. Go to see an attorney as soon as your accident happens so that your rights are protected.
