When a case settles how do I participate in the settlement?
If you purchase the securities at issue in the lawsuit during the relevant time period and were harmed by the alleged wrongdoing, then you may qualify to participate in a settlement of that case if you fall within the definition of the class.
The amount of money you will receive will be based on many factors, such as the amount of the settlement, the amount of the class wide damages, and the amount of your personal damages. When a case settles, class members will typically be contacted by a third-party settlement administrator to participate in the settlement. These administrators usually obtain your contact information from the brokerage firm with whom you purchased the securities, so make sure your broker has your most up to date contact information.
