Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, Announces Settlement of Kashi Class Action Lawsuit

Faruqi & Faruqi, LLP, as co-lead counsel, is pleased to announce the settlement of  Astiana, et al. v. Kashi Co., Case No. 11-cv-01967, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California (“Kashi Class Action Lawsuit”).

Plaintiffs in the Kashi Class Action Lawsuit alleged that some products that were labeled as “All Natural” and “Nothing Artificial,” allegedly contained certain synthetic and artificial ingredients, including pyridoxine hydrochloride, alpha tocopherol acetate and xanthan gum.  Under the class action settlement agreement filed with the Court on May 2, defendants will stop using “100% Natural” and “100% Pure and Natural” on food labels containing these ingredients. The Kashi class action settlement will provide $5 million in relief.
